Weed Man’s Epic3 Group Donates $60,000 to Ronald McDonald House

This year, continuing an ongoing holiday tradition of support for the organization, Weed Man’s Epic3 Group donated $60,000 to the Ronald McDonald House! This generous funding will go a long way toward a new outdoor play set and sun shades for children at the Ronald McDonald House in Austin, Texas.

The donation was presented to representatives from the Ronald McDonald House during Epic3’s annual holiday party on December 6th, with more than 200 employees in attendance. The teams at Epic3’s franchise locations work hard all year ‘round, and giving back is one big way they celebrate their wins. Employees are encouraged to bring suggestions to management of local causes that are on their hearts. “How we determine our funding is very employee focused,” said Kyle Lyne, Epic3’s director of marketing. “It’s one team, one goal.”

This donation follows a strong track record of Weed Man’s Epic3 Group’s support to the Ronald McDonald House. Over the last six years, they’ve donated more than $180,000 to fund efforts by the Ronald McDonald House in various cities, including previous funding for initiatives in Milwaukee, WI; Madison, WI, and more over the years.

“We’ve made it a priority to give back to our community. It’s one of the pillars of our organization,“ says Kyle Lyne. “We try to make sure that every location has at least two causes that are near and dear to them – food drives, soccer teams, a robotics club – that we can donate to from their local branch. But then everybody knows that our national effort is donating to the Ronald Mcdonald house in a big way, and everyone’s a part of that.”

This donation to the Ronald McDonald House comes soon after Weed Man’s inaugural Grassroots Giving food drive, which brought Weed Man franchises together in support of local food banks across the US and Canada. The Epic3 Group contributed an astounding 36,000 lbs of food toward Weed Man’s total collection of 76,000 lbs of food (an estimated 64,000 meals for people in need).
